HULU SELANGOR, May 3 — 2,340 terrace house units will be built under the first large-scale Rumah Selangorku project, known as Lagenda Ardea, with completion expected in 2027.

Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad (KHSB) chief executive officer Rahana Abdullah said the development of these 77-hectare housing units in Bernam Jaya is a collaboration with the developer Lagenda Properties Berhad.

“This shows our full commitment to meet the increasing demand for housing. We will not only develop the building structure, but are determined to make Lagenda Ardea a sustainable and liveable community,” she said at the Rumah Selangorku Lagenda Ardea ground-breaking ceremony today.

Also present at the ceremony were Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, State Secretary cum KHSB chairman Datuk Haris Kasim, and Lagenda Properties Berhad chairman Admiral (R) Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin.

Lagenda Ardea’s first phase involves developing 831 one-storey terrace houses comprising three rooms and two bathrooms, with applications to be made on the Selangor Housing and Property Board website under the Rumah Selangorku Application Registration System.

Additionally, Rahana said the development of Lagenda Ardea is in line with the First Selangor Plan (RS-1), which aims to make Selangor a smart, prosperous, and habitable state by 2025.

KHSB, as a state government subsidiary under the auspices of Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), is one of the state’s implementing agencies in economic and business-related activities, particularly in the property sector.

Meanwhile, Amirudin said the construction of the Rumah Selangorku houses in the area indicated a good market value after 60 per cent of the project had received applications before the launch this month.

“In the meantime, our team is in the process of evaluating several proposals involving tourist areas here, in addition to being prepared to look for any project or booster project in the area, including those that involve the construction of schools or educational institutions.

“It is certain we will also benefit from Proton City, located 15km from here. Actually, there are many proposals that have been submitted to become a booster element, and I am sure that it will provide added value to this area,” he said.

Apart from this, the development of mega projects like the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) in Serendah, located about 20km from the housing project, is also advantageous to the housing project.
